Lowell Grant is right about Reagan”s speech, but he didn”t say a thing about the Carter legacy. Dear, sweet Jimmy Carter screwed up everything so badly it took Reagan six long years just to straighten the mess out. I remember the 400-plus days of the Iran hostage situation, odd and even gasoline lines, 21-percent home mortgage rates and the double-digit inflation.
How much do you want to bet Grant doesn”t think Reaganomics saved us by cutting taxes. As for Bush”s $2 trillion gift to the rich, what about the $100 trillion-plus that the U.S. legislators robbed from the Medicare and Social Security fund by spending it in the general fund and now these same inept idiots are in charge of health care. If you don”t think this will be another big boondoggle, you have to be brain dead. How about Obama”s $1 trillion a year, unfunded spending, which will give us a $13-plus trillion national debt. Please people wake up!
As for Sarah Palin, the left wing idiots were sucking her dry with lawsuits for as dumb a thing as wearing a jacket with a sponsor”s logo at a dog race. With 12 frivolous law suits, of which she won all 12, her lawyer”s bill was approaching $1 million. By resigning she knew she could go on the speaking tour, pay her bills and make a good living bashing liberals. What”s wrong with that? Maybe she”s so right she poses a real threat to the Democrats. Do you think? Last question to Lowell is if Calpers Retirement Fund (run by liberals) is underfunded to the tune of $561 billion, due to mismanagement, why did the teachers union (run by liberals) give $11 million to defeat Prop. 8 (haven”t quite figured out what the teachers union and gay marriage have in common). But I”m not a liberal. We, the taxpayers, are on the hook for that $561 billion. So, why don”t you clean up your own mess before whining about conservative policies and George Bush. It is getting to be “really old news.”
