Board of Supervisors — LAKE COUNTY –The Community Development Department will ask the Lake County Board of Supervisors for direction at 9:45 a.m. today on possible zoning ordinance changes concerning wine tasting rooms, composting facilities and farmers markets, among other issues.

The board will also consider amendments for agricultural services, cargo containers, R3 revisions and commercial stables and riding academies.

Supervisors will start the meeting 9 a.m. today in the County Courthouse at 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.

Scheduled for 10:30 a.m., the Clear Lake Advisory Committee will give its quarterly report and ask the board to reconsider committee membership categories.

Board members will discuss a request to authorize staff to accept public donations for Highland Springs Trail improvements.

At 9:15 a.m., Dr. Karen Tait, Lake County Health officer, is scheduled to give a presentation on the syringe exchange program.

The Lake County Heritage Commission will also give its annual report at 9:30 a.m.

Lakeport City Council — LAKEPORT — The Lakeport City Council will consider whether to adopt a resolution in a step toward increasing benefits for retired Lakeport police officers during its special meeting 6 p.m. today.

Council members will address the issue during the public meeting in City Hall at 225 Park St. in Lakeport.
