LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Deputy Sheriff”s Association will hold a shooting competition to raise funds for Lake County charities and youth activities Saturday at the Highland Springs shooting range.

Trophies will be awarded and raffle prizes include a Glock 19 donated by Lake County Guns and a Mossberg Maverick 12 gauge donated by Lakeshore Bait and Tackle. Raffle tickets cost $5 or $20 for five.

The event will open for competitors at 7 a.m. with shooting starting at 9 a.m. The range is on Highland Springs Road off Highway 29.

The Konocti Rod and Gun Club is also sponsoring the event, and will hold a barbecue lunch.

Divisions include juniors age 12 to 17, women, pistol or semi-automatic, revolver and law enforcement.
