CLEARLAKE — Lake County Fire Protection District (LCFPD) along with an engine from CALFIRE, responded to a structure fire at about 3:46 p.m. Friday. The singlewide mobile home, located on the 3700 block of Buckeye Street, was destroyed in the blaze.

LCFPD Battalion Chief George Murch said that the structure was fully-involved when firefighters arrived on scene. The blaze, he said, presented threats to surrounding homes. Personnel worked quickly to suppress the fire, which Murch said was contained in about 10 to 15 minutes. Cleanup was expected to take about 45 minutes. Murch said that occupants of the home were inside when the blaze ignited. The occupants were able to evacuate without injury.

“So far it does not appear to be suspicious but little bits of information are still coming in,” Murch said, adding that the incident remains under investigation. LCFPD responded with two engines, a water tender and about dozen personnel. CALFIRE provided an engine and Clearlake Police and Volunteers in Policing (VIPs) assisted with traffic control. A California Highway Patrol unit also responded.
