HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE — A 15-minute attack on a structure fire in the Hidden Valley Lake area Sunday left minimal damage to the residence. The fire was quickly contained to the attic area.

Response was rendered at approximately 2:42 p.m. CALFIRE Captain Bob Barron said that initially a full wildland dispatch was summoned as the fire presented a threat to nearby vegetation. However, response was reduced to two engines with one CALFIRE engine responding from Middletown and one South Lake County Fire Protection District engine responding from the Hidden Valley Lake station.

Barron said that the home was vacant at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
