I find it very puzzling there has been only one letter of protest to the almost 40-percent increase to the sewer bill in the Clearlake area. They want us to pay for their problem; the mandals in the creek, in the village and harbor, and for new hook ups. Let the new hook ups and tie-ins pay.
I wish I could have been at the meeting at the Brick Hall in Lower Lake on Aug. 11.
If you are affected by this 40-percent increase, call your Supervisor Jim Comstock or Jeff Smith. Write to S.E. Wastewater District Clerk, 255 North Forbes St. in Lakeport to protest.
