I believe it is imperative that children from preschool through high school be taught problem-solving through effective communicating so that they have a means to address the bully and the bullied.
It is a proactive approach that would be helpful to teachers as well as students in dealing with difficult people who have never heard the words problem-solving.
Many children come from homes that are abusive verbally as well as physically, and school may be the best place they will ever see growing up.
There is so much more that we can do through education so that our children are fully educated.
A social-educational program would go a long way to improve our communities nationwide. It is apparent that many parents are at a loss when it comes to child rearing and dealing with everyday stress-check domestic violence stats, so it only makes good sense to change what we are doing educationally. It may be our only hope of improving those stats.
