LAKEPORT — Lakeside Lanes is hosting a VIP Bowling League Kickoff Party Friday night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Lakeport.
Free bowling and laser tag will be provided along with complimentary food and drinks. League coordinators will be available to answer questions and help place individuals and teams in leagues.
USBC-certified winter bowling leagues open in September and begin Sept. 7, the Tuesday after Labor Day. Leagues are available on Tuesdays through Thursday mornings as well as evenings on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. League start dates and times vary, so call or stop by Lakeside Lanes for more information.
A junior bowling workshop, which includes two free games of bowling with coaching and pizza, takes place Oct. 9. Junior leagues (for bowlers younger than 18) take place Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. and start Oct. 16.
Evening league start at 6:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. and run about 90 minutes. Tuesday and Thursday morning leagues start at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. A No Tap nine-pin league is held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (knock down nine pins on your first shot and get a strike).
Senior, kids, teens and adult mixed leagues are available.
All ability levels are invited to join a league. You can sign up as an individual or as a team.
