TULARE — Five members of Force, a Lake County USAW wrestling team, traveled to the 2010 Summer Blowout Tournament on Saturday at Mission Oak High School in Tulare.
Force coach Ronnie Campos said he was pleased with the team”s effort against some very tough competition.
Three team members won their weight classes. Robby Hammers, an incoming senior at Clear Lake High School, won all of his matches by pin at 160 pounds in the Junior Division, while Roberto Morfin won the heavyweight class in the Junior Division.
The Force picked up a third first-place finish courtesy of James McGann in the 171-pound Cadet Division.
Also taking part in the tournament were Jacob Campos and Nathan Powers.
