UPDATED:

Fifty-five years ago I registered as a democrat because a voter had to be registered to some party.

I have never been a radical.

I have voted republican for president and governor, namely Reagan and Bush senior. I ignore all polls and always vote for the best qualified candidate for all Americans. I do not give a hoot about party.

I have always shied away from candidates who spend 95 percent of their time condemning their opponents.

It proves they have poor self-esteem. McCain, Palin and now Meg Whitman are perfect examples.

I appreciate Whitman”s CEO success because I spent 20 years in corporate management, followed by many years owning successful private businesses. But as CEO, she had only to deal with a dozen board members and manage a few thousand employees.

As governor of a state with more than 30 million people, her decisions and concepts have to be approved by Congress and how it affects every city and county and the country as well.

I hope and pray she understands that California”s stinking economy cannot be resolved without improvements in our country and the world. The worldwide economy is sick.

Have I ruled out voting for Whitman? Absolutely not. My decision will occur only after the last debate.
