LAKE COUNTY — For the first time in several years, the County of Lake exhibit from the California State Fair, has been recreated at the Lake County Fair, thanks to the efforts of volunteer John Fulton.

With initial design concept by Fred Christensen of Lakeport, construction and staffing by volunteers coordinated by the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, the exhibit earned a Silver Award in Sacramento this summer.

The theme of the exhibit is ?Passport to Adventure,” highlighting some of the adventures available in Lake County.

Residents of Lake County can visit the exhibit in Lewis Hall during the County Fair this weekend.

A video by Groody River Films tells stories about vineyards, history of the Lake County Pear farmers, the new Quilt Trail Project and Pomo Basket Weavers. Adjacent to the exhibit is information on the purchase of Mount Konocti and the new Water Trails Project.

The chamber and the County of Lake extend gratitude to the Lake County Fair for its assistance and making space available for the exhibit.
