UPDATED:

The Republican Party, the bought and paid for voice of corporate America and top 10 percent of the richest folks in this nation, is spending millions in trying to regain power in America.

They could just as easily write checks to our government to lower the deficit brought on by there past policies that gained them lower tax rates and less regulations, so they can keep gaining more wealth then the majority of citizens in our nation. Kind of shows you just how interested they are in the average taxpayer, during these hard times, doesn”t it?

Their war against our President is easy to understand. He is not, and never will be, one of them.

Just as truthful as when there is a downward hit on our economy, the first actions by them is to lay off the hourly workers, not the middle management or higher.

It”s in their culture to protect the higher-ups, whether they be them or themselves. Right now, taxes should not come down, but, an adjustment to the rate for the 10 percent does need to go up.

That is what our President is trying to do right now. They”re using the tea party to scream about taxes, while do absolutely nothing that lessens their own wealth and power. They could take smaller profits for their stock holders, lower the salaries of their top management, to help, not a chance. Mortgage holders could re-adjust the value of homes, thus lessening payments for home buyers, as a helping hand, not a chance. Credit card companies could reduce interest rates to a single amount for all. Not a chance.

Right now they could be hiring, but they are not, as the more desperate the unemployed are, the less they will have to offer them to get a job and go back to work. They know what they”re doing. All of the above is just common sense. If you just think things out and not go for the sales pitch of the fright wing talking heads that try and sell our citizens their scripted answers to our current problems.

There is no quick fix to today”s problems, it will take time, adjustments, patience, and most of all, change.

In November, your vote is for one of two things.

The party that is changing things, if at a rate that is slower then most of us had hoped for, or the party who got us in this mess and wants to bring back the same unfair and disheartening actions that have so damaged the middle class hopes for the American Dream that has been so eroded over that past 40 years.

Life is choices and we will be making a big one in a few months, so we should take the time to bring our common sense and understanding of the true issues and those that are designed to whip up anger and hate that is being sold to us daily now.
