UKIAH — Kelseyville was on the verge of winning the fifth and deciding game Wednesday night in a non-league varsity volleyball match against the Ukiah Wildcats when momentum shifted one last time.
“They called a timeout, then we lost our serve (and the match),” Kelseyville coach Donelle McCallister said as the Wildcats pulled out a 25-17, 22-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-12 victory.
“We made three errors right in a row,” McCallister said.
Jennifer Green led the Knights with nine kills while Dakota Rixen and Mandy Spitzer each had three aces.
Ariel Facey”s passing was another strength, according to McCallister.
In the junior varsity match, Ukiah defeated Kelseyville 25-13, 25-13 despite the strong overall play of the Knights” Julie Bibee.
