I have been a caretaker for Byron Whipple for six years. Last weekend I had to go take care of my handicapped brother who was ill. It was the first weekend I did not go with Byron on his boat.
He was one of the best friends I”ve ever had. He was positive, a good worker and a good business man. I can”t help but think, if I was there, he wouldn”t have gotten in the accident. I wish I was there. For everyone who knew Byron, there will be a memorial for him at TNT in Lakeport on Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. Byron will be missed by so many people and the community.
