UPPER LAKE ? Middletown Girls varsity soccer team beat Upper Lake 8-1 at Upper Lake. The half time score was 3-1.
Brittany Cash had two goals and three assists. Emily Reed scored two goals. Leslie Preciado, Tania Nance, Taylor Sloan and Missy Denno each scored a goal apiece. Middletown coach, Louise Owens said Maria Castaldo was the stand-out player for defense. “The whole team played very well,” Owens said. Upper Lake coach Mike Sheets said Upper Lake had 21 fades in the goal box. Shayla Wyman scored the lone goal with an assist from Megan Wald. Sheets said exceptional plays were made by Tanya Carter, Amber sheets and Jaclyn Eubanks. The Upper Lake Lady Cougars will play Ft. Bragg at home on Thursday at 4:30 p.m .Middletown will take on St. Vincents on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
