This is from a retired cop who started on the job when we had four-cylinder patrol cars with a clutch and worked from patrol up to administration. For us who rely on the sheriff”s office for protection and the people who are on the spot to do the job, we need to listen to them.
It is unusual, almost on the rare side, for a group of people, especially cops and correction officers, to see things in complete unison, as they have in voting to retain Sheriff Mitchell. This should be given major consideration.
No matter how much technology has improved for police work if workers don”t believe they have the support and backing of management, morale declines along with a desire to do the best job possible. So when you go to the polls to vote, remember the people of the sheriff”s office and retain Sheriff Mitchell for them and the folks of Lake County.
