SANTA ROSA ? Clear Lake volleyball traveled to Roseland Prep and returned victorious, very much due to the aggressive play of Jessica Asbury. “She was on fire,” said Coach Marci Psalmonds referring to her 18 kills and 3 blocks. Her efforts were very much aided by the play of Coree Alexander and Morgan Psalmonds who had 15 and 18 assists, respectively. Haley Garzoli “stepped it up” on the defense with 13 digs, said Psalmonds. She also said that the win “had glitches,” but the Lady Cardinals “pulled through when they needed to.”
The game scores illustrate Psalmonds analysis. Her team won 25-16, 25-18, dropped the third match, 21-25, but prevailed 25-22 to clinch the match.
The JV Cardinals were also winners. The team will travel to Fort Bragg on Tuesday.
