PETALUMA ? Lower Lake Varsity Football team took on St. Vincent at Yarborough Field on the St. Vincent campus and emerged victorious, 26-14, ending a 17 game at-home St. Vincent winning streak over Lower Lake.
The last time Lower Lake beat St. Vincent was in 2007 at Lower Lake. Overall, St. Vincent beat Lower Lake four of five games. The last home loss for St. Vincent versus Lower Lake was Oct. 27, 2007.
Numbers for Lower Lake were as follows: 14 first downs, 10 of those were rushing first downs. Rushing ? 37 attempts for 269 yards with the leading rusher, Roy Percoats with 17 rushes for 118 yards, including a 57 yard run with one minute and 56 seconds left in the game and two touchdowns.
Jack O”Hara followed with nine rushes for 52 yards. E.J. Jermany went eight for 56. Alphonzo Daniels had two for 30 and Devante Scott, four for 29.
In the passing game quarterback Joseph Taylor was seven for 15 for 129 yards.
Receiving for Lower Lake was Scott with two for 43 yards, Percoats, one catch for 10 yards and Daniels two for 36. Brandon Sparks had one catch for 11 yards. Daniels had one touchdown catch. St. Vincent scored first in the game with 5:06 left in the first. The second Lower Lake touchdown came with the 3:30 mark in the second quarter, when Daniels caught a 31 yard pass from Taylor.
The Lower Lake Junior Varsity Football team matched the score of the varsity team taking the game 26-14, as well.
