CLEARLAKE — A late night traffic stop led to the arrest of two people on Saturday. Mark Dewayne Dooley, 37, of Clearlake Oaks and Catherine Michelle Allen, 27 of Clearlake were arrested on several charges.
According to Clearlake Police Lt. Craig Clausen an officer initiated a traffic stop on the black Mustang Allen was driving at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the area of Lakeview Way and Old Highway 53. Allen was allegedly driving on a suspended license. Subsequently, search of the vehicle and the suspects allegedly led to the discovery of methamphetamine and marijuana as well as a scale, baseball bat and a loaded firearm.
Allen was arrested on charges including possession/manufacturing/selling dangerous weapons/explosives, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony, possessing/buying firearm without identification markings and prohibited person owning ammunition.
Dooley was arrested for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, transportation of a controlled substance, possession/manufacturing/selling dangerous weapons/explosives, carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony and possessing/buying firearm without identification markings.
