ANDERSON MARSH ? Lower Lake cross country team took on Upper Lake at Anderson Marsh State Park on Wednesday. Middletown was scheduled to compete against Cloverdale, but declined following the death of a Middletown student. The student was not a member of the cross country team.

The course at Anderson Marsh was 2.8 miles. Upper Lake beat Lower Lake.

The top 10 places for boys junior varsity cross country are as follows: Joe Carillo of Cloverdale in first place with a time of 14:42; Gage DeHeer of Upper Lake with a time of 17:37; Jared Wade of Upper Lake with 17:45; Alex Rogers of Upper Lake with 17:45:9; Giovanni Bautista of Upper Lake with 18:25; Brandon Louren of Upper Lake with 18:32; Daniel Van Meter of Upper Lake with 18:40; Matt Hetrick of Cloverdale with 18:45; Max Sutton of Cloverdale with 19:01 and Jacob Torres of Cloverdale with 19:27.

Results of girls cross country at the meet are as follows: Cloverdale”s Whitney Edens with 19:48, Elizabeth Marcone with 20:15, Brittany Vandergriff with 20:40, Yari Sanchez with 20:58 and from Upper Lake Tonya Bennett with 22.50 and Brittany Bemner with 23:05. Lower Lake”s Dora Toshich came in at 24:24, Elizabeth Perkins with 24:36. Upper Lake brought in the final two with Savannah Vecht at 25:49 and Marcella Stifter with 27:04.

In varsity boys action, Charlie Coburn of Upper Lake secured the top spot with 16:03, followed by teammates Nick Cisneros with 16:38, Nick Davison with 17:09 and Cory Rodriguez with 17:13. Cloverdale”s Roger Martinez came in with a time of 17:15 followed by Brian Wells with 17:21. Sean Gay of Upper Lake came in with a time of 17:30 with Darin Marcy of Cloverdale behind him with a time of 17:43 followed by Michael Reynolds of Cloverdale with 17:43. The 10th place runner for boys varsity was Jordan Austin of Upper Lake with a time of 17:45.
