LAKE COUNTY — A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI Friday after he allegedly caused a three car collision on Highway 20 west of Scotts Valley Road, killing a 52-year-old woman who he hit head-on, California Highway Patrol stated.

Law enforcement had not released the name of the woman who died or the other drivers by press time. Anton Kloiber of Piercy was booked into the Lake County Jail on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing bodily injury.

About 10:38 a.m. Friday, a black Chevy Tahoe driving west on Highway 20 for unknown reasons traveled into the oncoming lane after going around a curve and crashed into a black 1990 Nissan pickup, officer Dallas Richey of CHP said. The Nissan came to rest on the shoulder of Highway 20. The Tahoe continued westbound out of control and collided into the left rear of a 2004 Red Ford F-150 that was traveling eastbound. The driver of the Nissan died at the scene, Richey said.

The driver of the F-150 was uninjured and officers arrested Kloiber, who was driving the Tahoe.
