As a Democrat who always votes for the best candidate regardless of party, I say the California Republican party needs a major shake-up.
Two pathetic candidates for governor and senate. For almost three decades I was in management at Varian Associates in Palo Alto. Our sister company right next door was Hewlett-Packard. The two most prosperous electronic companies in Silicon Valley. I held Hewlett-Packard stock for more than 30 years, in the ”60s through the ”80s. Under CEO Fiorina, HP sales and profits dipped to such a dangerous level, the board decided to terminate her. Her replacement rapidly reversed the downhill slide.
Meg Whitman has condemned employers that hire illegals. She employed an illegal for nine years. Federal law demands every employer to generate and submit an annual W-2 to employees, with a copy to the IRS. Had Whitman done that, the very first year the IRS would have notified her of a fraudulent Social Security number.
In 2003 the Social Security Administration notified them via document of an illegal Social Security number. Her husband”s handwriting on the document was displayed on national television, proving Whitman lied, saying they had never received such a letter. Whitman then continued to use that illegal for another six years. If the Whitman has never generated W-2s as required by law, then they must have been paying that employee cash. Wow. Whitman never voted in her life. Wow. Whitman was sued by her employees in the corporation she headed, and she lost and paid them off. Wow. Republicans, you have to, in the future, come up with reputable and honorable candidates that I can vote for.
