After reading the article, “Driving while texting on the rise,” in the Sept. 21 edition, I would like to suggest the first Passenger Text Awareness Month with this letter. It is a month to promote the idea of having a passenger read you your text messages and type in whatever you need to say while you are driving.
I am not in a position to start up Passenger Text Awareness Month, but this is a start and someone should pick it up and finish what I have started. We could possibly save a life.
