LAKE COUNTY — Final paint striping on the recent chip seal projects on highways 29 and 175 will be completed by the end of October, weather permitting, according to Phil Frisbie, Jr., of Caltrans.
Caltrans will also begin work to smooth some localized areas, including Highway 29 near Twin Pines Casino and near Butts Canyon Road, which should be completed by mid-November, Frisbie said.
Frisbie said that the areas chip sealed on highways 29 and 175 would be repaved next construction season. A chip seal project on the books for another section of Highway 29 next summer will be completed using “an asphalt overlay type treatment,” he said.
Caltrans will host an open house next spring to introduce the Lake County community to the new projects, according to Frisbie. The date, time and location of the open house have not been announced.
