With everything that”s going on here in Lake County from elections, mud-slinging, to robberies, home invasions and even murders, things you can read about daily in the paper; I was able to get a little fresh air when I read about the eighth grade students from Lucerne who were trying to earn enough money to go to Washington D.C.
What a great change of pace to see that these students are trying to better their education by taking part in this once in a lifetime chance to go and learn about history and maybe even something about themselves.
So when I saw they are having a fundraiser taco dinner at lucerne school on Nov. 6. I thought that this would be a great way to help out these kids, as well as keep them off the streets, $5 well spent.
Maybe others will get a breath of fresh air from this and come support them as well.
