CLEARLAKE — With only absentee ballots and one district showing in the Lake County vote as of press time Tuesday, Jeri Spittler was leading the race for Clearlake City Council with 21.3 percent of the vote. Joey Luiz was running in second with 15.2 percent of the vote with Jim Scholz and Bill Perkins running neck-in-neck behind with 13.4 percent and 13.3 percent, respectively. Barbara Grier showed 12.2 percent of the vote and Frank Taylor showed 10.7 percent. Rounding out the ballot were Estella Creel with 5.9 percent of the vote; Raymond Brady with 6.1 percent and Michael Walton with 2.6 percent.
