Now that the good old boys have been replaced, I believe that it is time that they restore confidence in the community by demonstrating that it is not going to be business as usual.
The District Attorney can show that justice is truly for all by indicting Perdock for the vehicular homicide of Lynn Thornton.
This action would go a long way in showing the days of covering up for the favored few are no longer. There is no statute of limitations on vehicular homicide and the truth is begging to be told.
It is time that Lynn Thornton, Bismarck Dinius and Russell Perdock receive real justice.
Frank Rivero can show that a new day has come to the county by insuring the real, unbiased, complete evidence in the case be provided to the court.
He could also start an internal investigation to find those who withheld evidence or mishandled it so that it was not usable.
He needs to see that the persons in the LCSO that stages the illegal raids on medical marijuana dispensaries and growers be prosecuted for abuse of their authority.
It is now time to ferret out the good old boys in the LCSO, so that trust can be restored to the office. Both these offices have pledged that the good old boys are out and a new open, honest way of conducting county business has begun. Now is the time to prove it and to show it was not just campaign rhetoric.
