TOMALES — It wasn”t a blowout, but it was another loss for the Upper Lake Cougars, 26-6, to the Tomales Braves in the quarterfinal round of the North Coast Section Division V football playoffs on Friday night in Tomales.
Upper Lake (1-10) closes the season with a 10th straight loss and joins the 2000 and 2005 Lower Lake clubs as the only Lake County varsity teams to lose 10 games in a single season.
Tomales (9-2), the No. 3 seed in Division V, moves on to play the winner of today”s contest between No. 2 St. Vincent and No. 7 Calistoga in the semifinals, either Nov. 26 or Nov. 27 at a site and time to be determined.
