HAYWARD — Upper Lake High School sophomore Chris Cisneros placed 24th in the 144-man Division V boys” field on Saturday during the North Coast Section Cross Country Championships at Hayward High School.
Cisneros completed the 3-mile course in 18 minutes, 7 seconds, the best time by a Lake County runner at the meet.
Cole Williams, a senior at Urban School in San Francisco, won the race in 16:01 while leading Urban to the team title. Upper Lake finished ninth out of 20 teams.
Lucy McCullough of Marin Academy won the Division V girls” race is 18:23.
Clear Lake”s Clhoe Rojas had the best Lake County time, finishing in 22:44 for 55th place in the field of 119 runners.
