Dance alliance selling tickets to ?Nutcracker”
MIDDLETOWN — Middletown Dance Alliance is currently selling tickets for its annual “Nutcracker” ballet, taking place at 7 p.m. Dec. 17, 1 and 7 p.m. Dec. 18 and 2 p.m. Dec. 19.
This year”s ballet is filled with talent from all around Lake County, under the direction of artistic director Jamie Zimmerman-Bracisco, former principal dancer of the San Francisco Ballet and a prior Sugar Plum Fairy in the San Francisco Ballet.
General admission is $12 per person, $8 for children or seniors. Reserved seating in the first two rows is at $17 for all ages. Artists invited to display work at Dickens Fair
LAKEPORT — The Lake County Arts Council and the Main Street Gallery invites artists in all mediums to show their work during the Dickens Fair, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Fine art will also be displayed on racks down the center of the gallery beginning on Saturday and continuing through Dec. 2 at 325 N. Main St. in Lakeport.

Swehla family hosts Christmas musical
LAKEPORT — Celebrate Christmas in song and dance with the Swehla Family, 7 p.m. Dec. 4, 17 and 18 at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, located at 275 Main St. in Lakeport. All seats are $10.
Nine performing members of the Swehla family invite viewers to join them in their on-stage living room for a Christmas musical that is suitable for all ages and offers a special tribute to veterans. Craig and Julie Swehla of Cobb lead their children, Bridget, 22; Johnny, 20; Mary, 18; Clare, 16; Joe, 14; Christina, 12; and Angelina, 9; in song and dance.
Tickets are available online at www.SoperReeseTheatre.com or at the theater box office, open from noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays and two hours before showtime on the day of the show. The Soper-Reese Community Theatre is a restored, historic, performing arts venue established in 1949 and seating up to 300 patrons. Run by an all-volunteer organization, the theater operates under the guidance of the nonprofit Lake County Arts Council. The Soper-Reese brings dance, music, plays and poetry to all members of the Lake County community and to visiting tourists.

Pageant extends early bird pricing
MIDDLETOWN — An early bird discounted admission price for the 17th annual Renaissance Christmas Pageant and Feast has been extended through Nov. 30. Individual tickets cost $40 each until Nov. 30. Tickets are $44 each after Nov. 30.
For groups of four or more, tickets are $35 each, based on availablity.
According to pageant organizers, $20 of the ticket price can be declared as a tax deduction. Proceeds benefit outreach programs at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church.
