LAKEPORT — The Lake County Chamber of Commerce will present the eighth annual Dickens” Christmas Market in downtown Lakeport today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The event, co-sponsored by the Lakeport Main Street Association, seeks to transform downtown Lakeport into an 1800s English outdoor market.
The market will feature local residents dressed in costumes, local businesses hosting outdoor booths selling art, crafts and toys and local restaurants selling seasonal foods. Minstrels, carolers and musicians will offer guests other forms of entertainment. Any guest dressed in costume can enter the costume contest.
A Santa”s Workshop will be at Museum Park, where children can play games, eat snacks and meet with Santa Claus. The workshop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Evening events include the Christmas Lighted Parade at 6 p.m. and the Hospice Tree Lighting at 7 p.m.
All events are scheduled to occur in rain or shine.
