In this season of gratitude, we wish to thank the many individuals, organizations, and businesses that have donated to Lucerne Senior Center Meals-On-Wheels Program which serves seniors in Blue Lakes, Upper Lake, Nice, Lucerne, Kono Tayee, and Glenhaven.
We are grateful for public support of our Thrift Shop ? donating and purchasing, and of our Saturday breakfasts, both major fundraisers for Meals-On-Wheels. Thanks to everyone who enjoys our generous and delicious weekday lunches; meals served affect our share of state funds toward our budget.
Times are tough for all of us. This makes us appreciate your support more than ever. Without your help, we could not provide valuable services to the community.
Recently we were pleased with the results of a mini-audit, which revealed that Lucerne Senior Center has made significant progress in dealing with debts of previous administrations. Not only has every penny been accounted for, we finished the fiscal year with a small surplus. The public can feel confident that all donations are appropriately allocated.
We sincerely hope that 2011 brings a better year for you, and for Lucerne Senior Center. We look forward to a continuing relationship with our supporters and donors, and hope to build new relationships, while continuing to provide programs and services of importance to our community.
