LAKEPORT — Adrian Perez scored 12 points to go along with eight rebounds and three assists on Monday as the Clear Lake Cardinals beat Mendocino 57-19 in the season opener for both of these junior varsity boys” basketball teams at Lakeport.
Danny Patrida added 10 points and Omar Vazquez contributed nine points, nine rebounds and three steals in the victory.
“We actually shot the ball pretty well,” Clear Lake coach Jeremy Hop-kins said of his team”s debut. “We have stuff to work on, but it was a nice way to come out.”
The Cardinals hit five 3-pointers.
