ESPARTO — Behind a big night from guard Liz Berry, the Kelseyville Knights knocked off Esparto 35-19 in a non-league varsity girls” basketball game Tuesday night at Esparto.
It was the season opener for the Knights (1-0).
Berry pulled down five rebounds, dished out four assists and hit three 3-pointers for the Knights. Ashley Johnson dropped in two 3-pointers and Mary Brown and Kyra Rudnick finished with four points apiece. Brown also had four rebounds.
“The girls came together as a team and turned in a solid game,” Kelseyville coach Deanna Goff said. “The post players were tough inside and delivered.”
