LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County District Attorney”s Office arrested local business owner Glenn A. Neasham Tuesday afternoon on one felony charge of theft from an elder or dependent adult exceeding $950.
Two special allegations accompany the felony charge, according to senior deputy district attorney Rachel Abelson, including that the theft amount was more than $65,000. Neasham faces a maximum five-year prison term, Abelson said.
Mitchell Hauptman, defense attorney for Neasham, said he reviewed the reports and “as far as I can tell, this is an even more outrageous, irresponsible charge.”
Neasham, who owns Neasham Financial, Insurance and Retirement Planning as well as OxyBoostH2O!, posted a $20,000 bail.
The Record-Bee contacted Neasham and he declined to comment. The California Department of Insurance will issue a press release today with additional information on the charges against Neasham.
