In the Dec. 16 edition of the Record-Bee I read a column in the opinion section by Mr. Jeremy Walsh, which I found to be quite revealing as he gives a list with his opinion on movies to see or avoid. OK, it”s an opinion; I get it. But he writes on Rabbit Hole and says it will “no doubt will be a downer but should be filled with great performances and an engaging story.” That tells me he that knows nothing about the film. He obviously hasn”t seen it as most of the films have yet to be released, and he is telling people to see or avoid them predicated upon what, an assumption? You know what they say about assuming.
Also, Mr. Walsh talks about Tron with Jeff Bridges as a good movie to see, then says True Grit is a movie to avoid where Bridges also stars and has even been nominated for an academy award for his portrayal of John Wayne”s legendary character. Mr. Walsh conveniently never mentions this in his column and simply throws the entire thing under the bus. Once again, this film has yet to be released. I know it is an opinion and a prediction on his part, but I felt he was insulting our intelligence as readers.
