LAKE COUNTY — The county”s Public Works Department Wednesday released a report of road conditions following the recent winter storm.

A bridge failure caused a closure on Holdenreid Road at Hill Creek. Also in the Kelseyville area, the eastbound lane of Soda Bay Road east of Big Valley Road had standing water as of Wednesday, but the roadway remained open to traffic in both directions.

Downed power lines caused the county to close portions of Finley East Drive in Kelseyville while Public Works, Kelseyville Fire District and PG&E attended to the situation.

Several creek crossing closures have begun. Adobe Creek Crossing at Merritt Road and the Dry Creek Cutoff and Dorn Crossing on Kelsey Creek are closed until further notice.

A landslide near Twin Valley Road at Mile Post Marker 1.4 caused the road to be closed to all traffic Wednesday.

Scotts Valley Road had standing water on the roadway at English Ditch and Eickhoff Road; the area remained open to all traffic.

In its release, Public Works reminded residents that “road conditions are subject to change. Please use extreme caution driving on all county roads.”
