NAPA — Lower Lake kept it close for a half before the Justin-Siena Braves pulled away for a 74-43 win in a non-league varsity boys” basketball game Thursday in Napa.
The Trojans (3-10) trailed by single digits most of the first two quarters before the Braves extended their lead to 38-25 at halftime.
“They come at you in so many different ways,” Lower Lake coach Marty Udy said of the Braves, who beat Kelseyville by 36 points and Clear Lake by 44 points last month. “They also do a good job on defense ? they forced us into 25 turnovers.”
Nick Steward”s 13 points paced Lower Lake, Kyle Buckingham added eight and Jeff Davis had seven.
“I thought we played competitive basketball for a half and played hard the whole way,” Udy said. “To go to Justin ? that”s a pretty tough team.”
Justin-Siena is 8-2.
