CLEARLAKE — Clearlake Police conducted a traffic stop Dec. 31 that yielded two arrests for drug violations. Roy Kirk, 39, and Vicki Overton, 37, both of Clearlake were arrested in the incident.
According to Sgt. T. Hobbs, a traffic stop was conducted at about 3 p.m. on Howard Avenue on the 1994 black Mitsubishi that Overton was driving. She and Kirk, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were found to be on probation for drug violations.
Hobbs said the vehicle was registered to Vicki and Joyce Overton.
Subsequent searches, Hobbs said, resulted in the arrest of Kirk for transportation and possession of a controlled substance as well as for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. Overton was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, he said.
