Enough fingers to plug the holes?
Regarding our new governor Jerry Brown; let us all wish him well. It is hoped that he will have enough fingers to plug up all the holes in our state”s leaky dike. I am sure that President Obama had the same good intentions but found that our nation”s problems were all in need of immediate solution. Where to start? Hopefully Governor Brown can profit from the president”s recent experience. Noting the fact that our president already shows signs of aging due to the many responsibilities he has assumed, it may soon have the same effect on our new governor. The recent cartoon showing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger riding off on a motorbike amid a sea of red ink at least had the good grace not to label it “I”ll be back.”
