LAKEPORT — Terrace Middle School in Lakeport is going to be Lake County basketball central the weekends of Jan. 21-22 and Jan. 28-29 with the playing of the Terrace Classic Invitational.

Seventh-grade boys” teams from Terrace, Upper Lake, Mountain Vista (Kelseyville), Middletown, Pomolita (Ukiah), Eagle Peak (Redwood Valley), St. Helena and Redway compete the weekend of Jan. 21-22. Eighth-grade boys” teams from Terrace, Upper Lake, Mountain Vista, Middletown, Oak Hill (Lower Lake), St. Helena, Pomolita and a school to be announced compete the weekend of Jan. 28-29.

Both tournaments use a standard eight-team bracket. First-round games on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 begin at 3:30 p.m. Teams play two more games on Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 beginning at 9 a.m.

Admission prices to both tournaments are $3 for adults and $1 for children on the first day and $5 for adults and $2 for children on the second day. A snack bar will be open for both tournaments. Additionally, a taco dinner will be held Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 for $6.50 per person, and a rib dinner will be held Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 for $6.50 per person.
