After millions of letters to the FCC requesting they turn it down, we will finally have some sane communications regarding the loudness of the TV set for advertisements. At least they will have to tone it down.
We will finally have some sane sound coming out of our TV sets. One of our representatives co-authored the bill called The Calm Act with Anna Eshoo. After one year the FCC will enforce the law.
Of course like all laws passed by congress it will require several committees and hearings before anything happens to stop the loud noise, even after the law goes into effect. You would think the advertisers would want people to sit and listen instead of leaving the room to do other things. Oh well, what do we know, we only buy their products.
