NAPA — Middletown”s five-game winning streak ended on Wednesday night with a 56-36 loss to the Justin-Siena Braves in non-league varsity boys” basketball action at Napa.

John-Wesley Davis” nine points paced the Mustangs (10-6), who trailed 34-16 at halftime.

“We just really didn”t play well,” Middletown coach G.J. Rockwell said. “The boys played hard, we just turned the ball over too much. It was one of those nights.”

Luke Humphrey and Nick Dellia had five points apiece for the Mustangs, who went a full month without losing a game.

Justin-Siena (11-6) is 4-0 against Lake County teams this season, following earlier wins against Lower Lake (74-43), Kelseyville (72-35) and Clear Lake (72-26).

Middletown plays its North Central League I North opener tonight in Fort Bragg. Junior varsity tip-off is 6 p.m.
