LAKE COUNTY ? Lake County Public Works Director Brent Siemer tendered his resignation Wednesday. Siemer”s resignation is effective immediately.
Siemer was the subject of a closed session performance evaluation conducted by the Board of Supervisors Tuesday evening. He said he tendered his resignation to the Personnel Department at 8 a.m. the following morning.
“Unfortunately I was not able to meet the board”s expectations and needed to submit my resignation,” Siemer said.
Siemer had been in the employ of the county since April 2008.
Siemer said at this point, he will be looking for other positions, probably outside of the county.
Lake County Administrator Kelly Cox, said Thursday, “I expect that next Tuesday the Board of supervisors will address who will fill the interim position.”
Board of Supervisors” meetings are held at 9 a.m. Tuesdays at the Board of Supervisors chambers in the Lake County Courthouse located at 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.
