This letter is in regard to Jim Hall”s Jan. 5 letter to the editor where he tries to disprove Al Duncan”s theory on end times-related ideas.
Mr. Hall states that first and foremost no other country in this world of ours, wants to harm the largest consumer nation in the world.
He also states, “What nation could save trillions of dollars by just protecting our own national borders and stop being the cops of world conflicts?” Cops of world conflicts ? there you have it, Hall”s own knowledge of why many would want to harm us. What country, Mr. Hall?
How about North Korea, Iran and Venezuela. I”m sure there are a number of others that would be as giddy as a school girl, to just snap their fingers and have America disappear into thin air.
Does Jim Hall not know that China, as well as others, are trying to rely less on U.S. currency as well as product?
If you are a believer in the New Testament, the Old Testament, or both, then you believe the sky will be falling, as you so gently put it, at some point in time. But I concede, you are right that we need to focus on the problems and fix them. The end times are near but probably not that near.
