LAKEPORT — A collision between a silver Toyota Solara and a white Ford truck slowed traffic for nearly 45 minutes Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of highways 29 and 175 just outside the Lakeport city limits. The Toyota was traveling southbound on Highway 29 and began to slow for a red light when the Ford, traveling behind the Toyota at an estimated 55 miles per hour, struck the car, according to Officer Kevin Domby of the California Highway Patrol. The man, 65, driving the truck told investigators that he ?just didn”t see” the Toyota. The collision started behind the limit line and the two vehicles slid nearly 60 feet into the intersection. The woman driver, 49, of the Toyota and her son, 29, who was in the passenger seat, sustained mild to moderate injuries and were transported by ambulance to the hospital.
