They say ignorance is bliss. Well, I suppose.
I am referring to Ed Calkins” letter to the editor in the Dec. 28 edition. In it he states it probably results from us being too aggressive in cutting carbon emissions and combating global warming.
He is referring to how cold it has been lately. He further says that we should rev our engines and basically do what we can to pollute the air we breathe.
I am appalled that you would even print such asinine message. It is cold because of global warming, not because we fight it.
All the cut emissions haven”t done anything as there are so many pollutants floating in the air, slowly eating away at our ozone layer.
Not to mention what we breathe. Haven”t you heard that the Obama administration has changed the name from global warming to extreme global temperature enhancement because it is not just heat that is our new problem?
Maybe the cold air is coming through our ozone from space. I don”t know. But I know we are going to see extreme changes with both heat and cold. Welcome to the new world.
