CLEARLAKE — Clearlake Police continue its investigation into the apparent hanging death of 18-year-old Clearlake man Jacob Powell. The Powell”s body was discovered hanging from a tree on the 16000 block of 19th Avenue early Tuesday morning.
According to Sgt. Tim Celli medical personnel was summoned following police dispatch at approximately 7:30 a.m.; however, he said it was apparent that the victim was deceased.
Celli said there were indications that Powell committed suicide, but the investigation into the man”s death is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the circumstances surrounding Powell”s death is urged to contact Detective Sgt. T. Clements at the Clearlake Police Department, 994-8251.
