LAKEPORT — Friends of the Mendocino College Library presents an authors” reading with Roy Kesey and David Vann, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport.
Kesey is the author of a novella called “Nothing in the World,” winner of the Bullfight Media Little Book Award; a collection of short stories called “All Over” and his debut novel, “Pacazo,” will be published by Dzanc Books in February.
Vann”s “Legend of a Suicide,” an international bestseller and winner of the 2010 Prix Medicis in France, the L”Express readers” prize in France, the Grace Paley Prize and a California Book Award, has been on 29 “Best Books of the Year” lists in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, France and Australia, including The Times Literary Supplement and the New York Times. His new novel, “Carabou Island,” was out Tuesday (Jan. 18) from HarperCollins.
