It”s all global warming?

I just checked out the weather in Texas. It”s a high of 24 degrees today and a low of 17 degrees tonight, everything covered with ice. In Texas?

I attended first grade in Dallas in 1936. If it had been that cold I wouldn”t have had enough coats to attend school. I would have had to stay home bundled up in quilts.

Yesterday I heard Al Gore explain that this was all part of man-made global warming.

He can show that if it is warm, that is proof of global warming. If cold, it”s global warming. If storming, it”s global warming. If calm, global warming and so forth.

Although my education and post-graduate work in nuclear engineering included years of mathematics, physics and thermo dynamics, I can”t begin to understand Gore”s reasoning.

I carpooled for years with Dr. Morris, a meteorologist, who said that using the most complex mathematics and advanced computers in the world, meteorologists still couldn”t be sure of the weather next week, let alone 50 years from now.

That means that Gore is an amazing man with reasoning and prescience on the level of Jesus Christ or at least Albert Einstein. I do not think he has any mathematical background. I doubt he could handle a beginning algebra quadratic equation.

But still he can predict world climate a half-century from now.

Some say Gore is a fool.

If that is so, he is going to be a billionaire fool with his cap and trade laws.

And we smart people are going to pay him for that.
